THE LIVING ROOM — The great room anchors everything: deep sofas, and a wide-open flow to the dining area and kitchen. It's the kind of space where no one retreats to their room because there's no reason to leave. THE KITCHEN — Fully stocked for 14 guests. Butcher block island, custom cabinetry, espresso machine, full-size refrigerator and freezer, electric stove, oven, dishwasher, blender, wine glasses, and every pot, pan, and utensil you could need. Coffee, tea, and sweeteners are stocked and waiting on arrival. THE BEDROOMS — King (Bedroom 1) · Two doubles (Bedroom 2) · Queen + two doubles (Bedroom 3) · Double flex bed in the lower level living room for overflow. Before arrival you'll complete a quick online check-in through Happy Guest — verify your info, sign the rental agreement, and choose either a $500 refundable security hold or a $49 non-refundable damage waiver. Happy Guest then delivers your private keypad code, WiFi, driving directions, and any early or late check-in options you've added. Dogs are welcome with an additional pet fee $50.00/per dog. please keep pets off furniture and clean up in the yard. The hot tub is an outdoor spa that runs year-round. Please keep it covered when not in use. This is a rural property: cell service can be iffy. connect to wifi and turn on wifi calling when you arrive. Please place trash in dumpster only. We do have wild life and they WILL get into it if you leave it out.

ORV Trail 2 is a few miles down the road with direct trail access. Black River Harbor and its five named waterfalls are 20 minutes. Lake Superior shoreline is 20 minutes west. Copper Peak is 10 minutes, and Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park — 60,000 acres of backcountry — is about 45 minutes east.

Guest Access

You have the entire Timber Haus — all three bedrooms, the cedar sauna, outdoor hot tub, game room, full kitchen, washer and dryer, all outdoor spaces including the fire pit, BBQ, and garage, and all 10 private acres. The property is entirely yours for the duration of your stay. You'll notice a beautiful old barn on the property — it's part of the character of the place and makes for great photos, but it is private and posted with no trespassing signs. Please keep all guests out. Check-in is contactless via keypad. A few days before arrival you'll complete a quick online check-in through Happy Guest — your private door code, driving directions, and WiFi are all delivered right to you. We (Danielle and Steve) live right here in the neighborhood and you'll have our direct number the moment you book, but the home is entirely private — you won't share it with anyone.

A car is essential — Timber Haus is a rural property and everything worth doing is a short drive away. The roads are paved and accessible year-round (4WD helpful but not required in summer; recommended in deep winter). Nearest commercial airport is Gogebic-Iron County (IWD) in Ironwood — 5 minutes away; Duluth International (DLH) is about 1.5 hours west for more flight options. ORV/ATV riders can access Trail 2 a few miles from the cabin. Exact driving directions to the door are delivered through Happy Guest once your online check-in is complete.
