Creekside Chalet is a 2,800 sq ft chalet on 1.5 private wooded acres in Bessemer, right in the heart of Michigan's western Upper Peninsula. Built for groups who want real outdoor access and real indoor comfort — not one or the other. THE GREAT ROOM Vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, stone fireplace, floor-to-ceiling windows looking straight into the woods. This is where the group lands after a long day on the trail or the creek. Big enough that 15 people don't feel on top of each other. THE KITCHEN Full kitchen, no shortcuts. Stove, full-size fridge, dishwasher, microwave, blender, coffee maker, all the cookware you need. Breakfast for a crew before a trail day or a real dinner after — it handles both. THE HOT TUB ROOM This is the one. Indoor swim spa seats 10, powerful jets, large windows with wooded views. It runs year-round and it is — by our best estimation — the largest hot tub in the western UP.* Post-ride, post-hike, post-creek: this is where everyone ends up. OUTSIDE Fire pit set up for late nights. Grill on the balcony off the great room for cookouts. Horseshoe pit in the yard. Powdermill Creek is a short walk through the trees: cold water, trout, and a good reason to wander. ORV Trail 2 is right down the road. SLEEPING — BEDS FOR 15 Bedroom 1: King Bedroom 2: Queen + single Bedroom 3: Queen + single Bedroom 4: 3 singles Loft: 4 singles via built-in ladder (the kids will fight over this one) Lower level living room: Futon for overflow EASY SELF CHECK-IN Check-in is contactless. A few days before arrival you'll complete a quick online check-in through Happy Guest, and your private keypad door code, driving directions, and WiFi are delivered right to you. WHAT YOU GET Exclusive use of the entire chalet and all 1.5 wooded acres — every room, the hot tub, the fire pit, balcony grill, horseshoe pit, and the path to the creek. Plenty of free on-site parking for the whole group, including trailers and ORVs. We (Danielle and Steve) live nearby and are a call or text away, but the home is entirely private. THE AREA You're minutes from Powderhorn and Big Powderhorn ski areas, a short drive from Black River Harbor and its waterfalls (Rainbow, Sandstone, Gorge, Potawatomi, Conglomerate), Copper Peak, the Iron Belle Trail, and the Lake Superior shoreline. Downtown Ironwood — restaurants, breweries, and groceries — is about 15 minutes away. GETTING HERE A car is essential. Easy to reach off paved roads (4WD not required in summer; helpful in deep winter). Nearest airport is Gogebic-Iron County (IWD) in Ironwood; Duluth (DLH) is about 1.5 hours west. ORV/ATV riders access Trail 2 directly from the property. Exact directions are sent through Happy Guest after check-in. GOOD TO KNOW Before arrival you'll complete online check-in through Happy Guest — verify your info, sign the rental agreement, and choose either a $500 refundable security hold or a $49 non-refundable damage waiver. Dogs are welcome with an additional pet fee $50.00 per dog. The hot tub is indoor and runs year-round. *Fairly confident on the hot tub size. We haven't personally measured every hot tub in a 100-mile radius. But this thing is HUGE!
